Niacinamide

Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a water-soluble vitamin derived from niacin. It is naturally found in foods such as meat, fish, eggs, and green vegetables. For skincare purposes, niacinamide is synthesised to ensure stability and compatibility with various formulations.

In dermatology, niacinamide is a versatile ingredient used in serums, moisturisers, and toners. It is celebrated for its ability to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, and regulate sebum production. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin, niacinamide is a true multitasker.

The benefits of niacinamide are extensive. It helps minimise the appearance of enlarged pores, evens out skin tone, and soothes redness caused by acne or rosacea. By enhancing the skin’s natural lipid barrier, it also boosts hydration and improves resilience against environmental stressors. Its gentle nature makes it ideal for those looking to address multiple concerns without irritation.
