Top Aesthetic Body Treatments

When we think of aesthetics, most often we immediately think of the face and not body treatments. But, many of my patients present with the same issues on their body skin as they do on the skin above the chin, challenges like hyperpigmentation, loss of elasticity or uneven skin tone on the body are commonly seen within my clinic.

As such, I have been asked countless times for my most recommended aesthetic treatments for the body.

Below I have distilled my most regular recommendations of body treatments, including body firming treatments, body sculpting treatments, treatments to reduce redness and treatments that address skin tone.

Profhilo Body Aesthetic Treatments

My go-to body firming treatments are sessions of Profhilo. Designed to deliver super-moisturising hyaluronic acid directly into the dermis, Profhilo increases hydration and collagen production for smoother, plumper, more glowing skin.

The most popular areas on the body for the standard Profhilo treatment are the neck, décolletage and hands. However, there is also a specific product created for below the neck: Profhilo Body. This has been designed specifically for the inner arm and abdomen, to counteract skin laxity and restore firmness.

Laser Treatments for Body

There are a number of laser treatments that I work with for the body depending on the patient’s concerns. Here I share my top three laser treatments and the benefits they bring:

To Reduce Redness & Thread Veins: Intense pulsed light (IPL) incorporates multiple wavelengths of light to visibly reduce the appearance of redness, thread veins and brown spots, whilst also working to boost collagen and elastin production. Commonly treated areas include the neck, chest and hands, but IPL is perfect for all parts of the body to treat redness and pigmentation.

To Enhance Elastin And Collagen Production: Moxi™ is a gentle laser that is safe for use on all skin types, and triggers the skin’s natural repair process, enhancing collagen and elastin production. When used as body treatments, uneven texture, pigmentation, fine lines and pores are all improved, with my most commonly treated areas including the neck, chest and hands.

To Sculpt, Tighten and Tone The Body: Morpheus8 is a powerful body sculpting treatment, delivering impressive body tightening, lifting and contouring. Combining microneedling and directional radiofrequency (RF), it works to remodel subcutaneous tissue and fat, while also improving skin texture and the appearance of scars and stretchmarks. It’s popular for skin rejuvenation and tightening all over the body, but within my clinic I commonly use it on the neck, chest and abdomen.

PRP and Plasma Aesthetic Body Treatments

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an effective and natural skin rejuvenation therapy which harnesses the power of your own blood plasma to stimulate growth factors within the skin responsible for healing and collagen and elastin production.

As a body treatment, PRP can be used to help restore volume loss and improve skin tone across all areas of the body, and can even be used on the scalp to help hair growth.

Microneedling for The Body

Microneedling (or collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive body treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface, stimulating the skin’s natural healing process and therefore the production of collagen.

Whilst commonly used on the neck, chest and hands to address issues such as uneven skin texture, or loss of skin tone, it can be used anywhere on the body to address concerns such as stretchmarks or hair loss.
