Dr. Alexis Granite earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude. She received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honours society. Dr. Alexis completed her dermatology training at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She also received the Distinguished Housestaff Award for excellence in her field.
Dr. Alexis spent the first several years of her career at Tribeca Park Dermatology in New York City and also served as clinical instructor in dermatology at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell. Since relocating to the UK in 2012 with her family, Dr. Alexis has worked in private practice in London.
Dr. Alexis is a consultant on the Specialist Registrar in Dermatology in the United Kingdom and is board–certified in dermatology in the United States. She has been elected to the advisory board of the British Beauty Council and is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
Dr. Alexis is regularly quoted in the press and broadcast media. She has served as a consulting dermatologist for Merz Aesthetics, Kiehl’s, SkinCeuticals and is currently a brand ambassador for CeraVe. Dr. Alexis is the founder of Joonbyrd, the first dermatologist-led body care brand. Inspired by her patients’ real skin concerns, Joonbyrd creates daily body rituals backed by skincare science and designed to deliver transformative results.
Having published articles in several peer-reviewed journals and authored book chapters on dermatology related topics, Dr. Alexis is regularly asked for her views on skincare in the media.
