Double Cleansing

Double cleansing involves using an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based one to thoroughly remove makeup, SPF, and impurities.

The first step dissolves oils and stubborn products, while the second cleanses deeper into the pores. Ideal for evening routines, although some people also use this approach in the mornings as well, this method leaves the skin clean without stripping its natural barrier, preparing it for serums and moisturisers.

Think of double cleansing as taking the day off first, and then actually cleansing your skin in the second step.

Be sure to check your cleansers do not contain exfoliating ingredients if you are using them in the morning and the evening, as over-exfoliation will likely lead to skin irritation and barrier damage.
