Cold Showers

Cold showers, intimidating as they are, are said to improve circulation, tighten pores, and boost overall skin health. The cold water causes blood vessels to constrict, which can temporarily reduce redness and puffiness.

While they’re unlikely to replace a well-rounded skincare routine, finishing your shower with a burst of cold water can leave your skin feeling refreshed and energised. Those with sensitive or reactive skin should take care, as extreme temperatures may cause irritation.

It’s also worth noting the sudden cold triggers the release of endorphins and norepinephrine, improving mood and reducing stress.
