“Sun-damaged (photoaged skin) is distinct from intrinsic ageing, which is genetically driven and occurs over time regardless of external factors,” explains Dr Alexis Granite.

When it comes to the cleanser in question, all experts recommend gentle gel or foaming cleansers. Dr Granite likes micellar water as a first cleanse.
“For most people, I recommend washing makeup brushes used with liquid or cream products at least once a week,” she says.
