Saunas and Skin

Saunas and skin share a complex relationship, with saunas celebrated for promoting relaxation and improving circulation. The increased blood flow they stimulate delivers oxygen and nutrients to the skin, often resulting in a temporary, healthy glow.

Saunas also encourage sweating, which helps flush out impurities from the pores. However, extended exposure can dehydrate the skin, so it’s essential to replenish moisture with a hydrating moisturiser afterward, as well as remembering to drink more water on the day of the sauna.

For those with sensitive skin or conditions like rosacea, caution is advised, as the heat may exacerbate redness or irritation.
