Rosacea

What It Is:

Rosacea is a chronic condition characterised by facial redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes small red bumps. It primarily affects the cheeks, nose, and chin.

What It Looks Like:

Rosacea often appears as flushed skin, with persistent redness and occasionally swelling or irritation, particularly around the central face.

Treatment:

Avoiding triggers like spicy foods, alcohol, and extreme temperatures is key. Skincare products with niacinamide or azelaic acid can help, as can prescription creams and oral antibiotics. In-office treatments like IPL (intense pulsed light) therapy can reduce redness.
