Actinic Keratosis

What It Is:

Actinic keratosis is a precancerous skin lesion caused by long-term sun exposure. It is commonly found on the face, scalp, and hands.

What It Looks Like:

Rough, scaly patches that may be pink, red, or brown.

Treatment:

Cryotherapy, topical creams, or laser therapy are often used to remove lesions and prevent progression.
